El Parque Nacional Chagres se encuentra entre las provincias de Panamá y Colón, en la República de Panamá. Está situado en el sector oriental del Canal de Panamá, y su superficie total es de 129.000 hectáreas.
El parque, cobija una ingente biodiversidad, y está formado por bosques tropicales en una cuenca que suministra el agua para el río Chagres afluente principal al lago Gatún, que permite el funcionamiento del Canal de Panamá, y da agua potable para las ciudades de Panamá, Colón y su entorno…
